ReCharge NY Supporting Job Creation and Retention across Western New York

Senator Tim Kennedy joined officials from the New York Power Authority and Mayer Brothers Apple Products to mark the allocation of low-cost power from ReCharge NY, which is supporting job retention and private capital investments at the Western New York juice producer's facilities. NYPA Chairman John Koelmel, Trustee Terrance Flynn and President Gil Quiniones stopped by Mayer Bros. Cider Mill to highlight the impact of ReCharge NY  at Mayer Bros. and throughout the Western New York region.

ReCharge NY is the new statewide power program, established by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and approved by the State Legislature, to give businesses and other enterprises a boost in lowering their operating costs in support of economic development.

Kennedy Remains Top Ranking Democrat on Economic Development Committee, Earns Place on Finance Committee

Assignments to important committee posts follow Leader Stewart-Cousins move to make Kennedy a part of her leadership team. 

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Senator Tim Kennedy, D-Buffalo, today announced his committee assignments for the 2013 legislative session. Kennedy will retain his position as the ranking Democratic member on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business.
