It was a meeting of the Small Business Advisory Board that Senator Kennedy created earlier this year to help him identify challenges and develop solutions to improve the small businesses climate in Western New York.

Kennedy, D-58th District, led the Senate Democratic Conference in pressing for the passage of a set of job creation initiatives and workforce reinvestment proposals that will help get Western New Yorkers back to work, at a press conference Thursday in the State Capitol.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, joined by Senator Tim Kennedy, announced that Unicell, a national and international leader in the designing and manufacturing of bodies for commercial trucks and vans will invest $3.46 million to expand its Howard Street facilities in Buffalo. On the strength of a $175,000 investment package from Empire State Development, Unicell will increase its manufacturing capacity to retain and create over 50 local jobs as part of a green initiative to assemble a cutting edge body for an electric truck.
