BUFFALO, N.Y. – Senator Tim Kennedy, D-Buffalo, is fighting to stop a proposed statewide ban on youth football. Kennedy and youth football players and coaches will gather together Thursday at 3 p.m. outside Johnnie B. Wiley Stadium in Buffalo to rally against legislation introduced in the State Assembly to prohibit children under age 11 from playing youth football. Kennedy is calling for the proposed measure to be withdrawn from consideration.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Senator Tim Kennedy, D-Buffalo, will hold a program designed to keep seniors safe Thursday, February 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Delavan Grider Community Center, 877 E. Delavan Ave., Buffalo. Senator Kennedy’s Senior Safety Initiative brings together officials from law enforcement and public safety to discuss ways for seniors to protect themselves from fraud, deceptive schemes, elder abuse and other potential dangers. The presentation will also highlight efforts to keep neighborhoods safe.

About 150 residents attended information meeting Monday on regional funding fairness and consolidations.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Senator Tim Kennedy, D-Cheektowaga, is urging the school boards of the four Cheektowaga districts – Cheektowaga Central, Cheektowaga-Sloan, Cleveland Hill and Maryvale – to approve plans to begin the process of studying potential cost savings through mergers, consolidations or sharing of services.
