Sen. Stavisky meets with members of the Familial Dysautonom​​ia Foundation

Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky meets with Dysautonomia Foundation Executive Director David Brenner and Familial Dysautonomia patients at the Capitol in Albany.  She received a plaque in recognition of her efforts to help raise awareness and promote support for familial dysautonomia treatment, research and screening.  Familial dysautonomia is a genetic neurological disease present at birth in primarily Ashkenazi Jewish babies.  She also sponsored a resolution making Feb. 28 Familial Dysautonomia Day in New York.

Sen. Stavisky views plans for ANIBIC housing

Sen. Stavisky met with residents and directors at ANIBIC (the Association for Neurologically Impaired Brain Injured Children) in Oakland Gardens to view plans for a residential complex for older clients.  She discussed capital grant funding.  In the photo with her are ANIBIC clients, ANIBIC Associate Executive Director John DeBiase, and ANIBIC Executive Director Gerard Smith.
