This resolution, A313/S1322, made April 22nd “Domestic Violence Awareness Day” in the State of New York, and as a part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
(Bayside, NY) Senator Toby Ann Stavisky presented 5th Grader Margaret Sakar with an award honoring her 1st place finish in the student Earth Day Art Contest. More than 60 students participated, and Ms. Sakar, of the Holy Martyrs Day School in Bayside, was judged the winner.
