Senator Bill Larkin was recently honored by the March of Dimes for his work on the Pulse Oximetry Legislation. This new law will protect newborns by screening them for critical congenital heart defects before they are discharged from the hospital. Senator Larkin joined fellow Senators Greg Ball and John Bonacic in welcoming veterans to the Capitol for the Jobs For Heroes Act press conference in support of legislation to require state agencies to set a goal of awarding 5 percent of their contracts to businesses owned by service-disabled veterans.
