(Albany, NY) Senate Majority Conference Leader John L. Sampson and Finance Committee Chairman Carl Kruger today released the Senate’s “Blue Book”— a finance staff analysis of the proposed $133.9 billion 2010-11 Executive Budget. The Legislature has an obligation to the public to enact a budget that creates jobs, controls spending, and provides relief to overburdened taxpayers.
This February 25th Senator Stachowski will be hosting a virtual town hall meeting on the 2010-2011 budget. Ever wonder how the budget is crafted? Have questions about the pop and cigarette taxes propsed by Gov. Paterson? Program and service cuts?
This town hall will provide you with an opportunity to have your questions answered, while providing Senator Stachowski with critical input from the citizens of the the 58th Senate District.

Senator William Stachowski (D-C, Lake View) held a ‘virtual’ town hall meeting via the internet on the topic of the 2010-2011 state budget on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Approximately 80 residents throughout the 58th Senate District participated by watching live and speaking directly to the senator through emails, text messages, phone calls and live streaming in the hour long virtual town hall meeting.
