Senator Stachowski awards Gateway-Longview $200,000 to support its Niagara Day Care Center

       State Senator William T. Stachowski (58th District, Buffalo)has secured grant funding in the amount of $200,000 to support Gateway-Longview’s Niagara Day Care Center.  The center, located on the West Side of Buffalo, has been providing high-quality care for children ages six weeks to 12 years since 1975.

STACHOWSKI BILL ESTABLISHES HEAD INJURY AWARENESS AND PREVENTION ACT: Creates Program To Help In Prevention And Recognition Of Concussions

      In an effort spearheaded by Senator William T. Stachowski (D-Lake View), the Senate has passed legislation (S.8420) to establish the Head Injury Awareness and Prevention Act.  The measure creates several programs that will improve early intervention and response of coaches and parents by educating them on the proper evaluation and management of concussions.
