Long Island Senator Carl Marcellino supports a new state law that will ban texting while driving, which has been blamed in a growing number of fatal car accidents. In 2007, five high school seniors near Rochester, NY, were killed in a car crash that police said may have been caused by a texting driver. Police said the driver had sent and received text messages within minutes of the crash. Senator Marcellino is speaking on the floor of the NYS Senate in Albany.
