Senator Dilan speaks on the enactment of legislation that extends unemployment insurance benefits for more than 120,000 New Yorkers, of which were approximately 56,000 whose benefits were set to expire in late May. The legislation gives New York access to $645 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) aid. The money will extend unemployment benefits by an additional 13 weeks.
