Senator Johnson To Host Oct. 8 Jobs Fair Senator Craig M. Johnson, (D-Nassau), will be hosting a Job Fair on Friday, October 8th at Nassau Community College More than 40 companies will be in attendance offering information and opportunities in a variety of fields. “These are real Long Island companies with opportunities for Long Island residents,” Senator Johnson said. “If you are in need of work, please come down and see if we can match you with the right employer and position.” Some of the companies attending include: AETNA Arizona Beverage Bethpage Federal Credit Union Bloomingdale’s Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Corporate Hiring Solutions Estee Lauder FedEx Jet Blue Long Island Women’s Agenda Macy’s Met Life Molloy College Admissions Office Nordstrom North Shore LIJ New York State Department of Civil Service New York State Department of Labor Stop ‘n Shop U.S. Department of Homeland Security The New York State Department of Labor will be offering various free career advisement services for those who may be unsure on where to begin their career journey. Additionally, Hofstra University will be providing a free workshop on “How To Work A Career Fair” and a Best Practices Guide with information on resume building and interview skills. The Job Fair will begin at 10 am and last until 3 pm. Nassau Community College is located at 1 Education Drive, Garden City, NY 11530. Reserved parking is limited. If you are unable to find a reserved spot, parking permits will be made available through Nassau Community College’s Public Safety Department. Business attire is recommended and please remember to bring multiple copies of your resume.
