“Today marks the 43rd anniversary of a tragedy that forever changed our country. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination was indeed a crime against our entire nation, which suffered indelibly with his death as it had benefited from his life.

“Dr. King left a legacy of “strength though peace” that inspires every American. As we mark this solemn anniversary today, let us come together and pursue the ideals Dr. King so heroically championed. Only together can we achieve unity, peace, and prosperity for all.”
