Statement from Senator Carlucci on the Passage of Property Tax Cap and Mandate Relief
“Tonight we passed a property tax cap bill that will help ease the burden on New Yorkers who have been crushed by the highest property taxes in the nation. I have been adamant we must have a mandate relief package along with a property tax cap to give municipalities and school districts the tools that they need to live under a cap. The bill we passed tonight includes many of the mandate relief proposals that I have put forward that will assist municipalities and school districts to continue to provide the vital services New Yorkers rely on.”
