Senator Nozzolio recently met with U.S. Army Corporal Ryan McNally of Romulus to thank him for his selfless and dedicated service to our Nation. Corporal McNally serves in the Army’s 10th Mountain Division based at Fort Drum and has previously been deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan as a member of the 19th Engineer Battalion. After been wounded in Iraq, he was awarded the prestigious Purple Heart medal for his courageous sacrifice.

Corporal McNally visited the State Capitol and the floor of the historic State Senate chamber with a group of his fellow 10th Mountain Division soldiers as part of a special event hosted by the Senate to honor these distinguished servicemen and women. Corporal McNally was presented with a special Legislative Resolution that the Senate enacted recognizing the 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum’s contributions to our State and Nation.

Corporal McNally is the son of Carol McNally of Ithaca and the grandson of Marian G. McComb of Romulus.
