Students from FFA chapters at South Jefferson and Bellevue Henderson schools visited the capital this week, and attended a meeting of the State Senate’s Agriculture Committee.

Senator Patty Ritchie welcomed the students, and invited them to discuss their experiences as FFA members.

In each of the past three years, Senator Ritchie has secured additional state budget funding for FFA programs across the state.

“FFA is the perfect marriage between the state’s and the North Country’s leading industry—agriculture—and education, which is a top priority for me,” Senator Ritchie said. “That’s why I’ve been pleased to support the important work that FFA performs in helping to prepare the next generation of New York farmers.”
