Governor Cuomo’s recent proposal for public campaign financing would cost New York taxpayers $250 million. His proposal would have taxpayers pay for political campaigns including taxpayer-funded attack ads, robo-calls, political mail and political consultants.
In order to pay for publicly funded campaigns, some Albany lawmakers are proposing to raise your taxes and to cut monies set aside for education, road repair and protecting our environment.
