Share Your Views On The Proposed State Budget
Governor Andrew Cuomo has just unveiled his new Executive Budget proposal – marking the start of the budget review and adoption process for the upcoming fiscal year. (Click here to review details of the plan.) Last year, I partnered with the Governor in passing an on-time State Budget that accomplished three of my top objectives:
- It reduced state spending;
- It avoided tax increases; and
- It included measures to help create jobs and strengthen our economy.
Throughout the upcoming budget review and adoption process, these sound principles will continue to be my main goals -- along with meaningful mandate relief, property tax relief for homeowners, and a fair and equitable share of education aid for our region's schools.
I’ve always known that the best ideas usually don’t come from Albany -- they come directly from my constituents right here at home. If you have an opinion on the Governor's plan, suggestions for ways to reduce state spending, or simply wish to share your own budget priorities for the coming year, I encourage you to let me know by filling out the information form below.
Your views can play an important role, as we work together toward our common goal of adopting an on-time State Budget that keeps our State moving forward.
