The Army is proposing troop cuts to levels not seen since the beginning of World War 2. Taken across the board, the reductions could mean significant cuts at Fort Drum, the North Country’s leading economic engine.

State Senator Patty Ritchie led a group of 85 state lawmakers—from all corners of the state and both sides of the political aisle—who signed a letter in support of Fort Drum. (CLICK HERE TO READ THE LETTER).

Now it’s your turn. Sign the petition below, and include your comments about why Fort Drum matters to Northern New York.

Your name will be added to those being collected by community leaders and groups, like FDRLO (the Fort Drum Regional Liaison Organization) and forwarded to the Army.

Don’t wait! The deadline for public comment on the Army plan is Aug. 25.
