Support Senator Flanagan's Efforts To Strengthen Breast Cancer Prevention

Recently, the New York State Senate approved legislation sponsored by Senator Flanagan that would require insurance companies to cover the cost of supplemental screening for women who have dense breast tissue or who are at greater risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer.  This legislation would also require that every report a radiologist issues to a patient following a mammogram includes information on breast density and information on the availability and usefulness of further screenings.

This important legislation will help give women the information they need to make important decisions about their own health care and that is an important component of winning the battle against breast cancer.
