SENATOR FOLEY FIGHTS FOR RESTORATION OF EDUCATION FUNDING

Urges Colleagues to Vote to Override Veto

HAUPPAUGE, NY – On Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Senator Brian X. Foley will hold a press conference to call on his fellow senators from Long Island to vote in favor of overriding Governor Paterson’s recent veto of the budget bill that included funding for education. An override has the potential to restore up to $600 million in funding for schools statewide.

The press conference will be held at Connetquot High School, located at 190 Seventh Street in Bohemia.
