Census Phone-A-Thon, Join Us!

_______________

Please join us via Zoom to participate in a Census Phone-A-Thon with other volunteers, elected officials, and staff members from North Brooklyn.  The census, which is conducted every ten years, determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding is provided to schools, roads and bridges, public transportation, hospitals, and other critical services.  North Brooklyn is lagging behind the rest of New York in its response rate and is a historically undercounted part of NYC; this year, while the city manages the COVID-19 crisis, the neighborhood is even more severely undercounted than usual.

Making phone calls in our community is one of the most impactful ways to change the outcomes of the census.  You can sign up to participate in making phone calls with us via this link: https://tinyurl.com/nbkcensus.  Together, we will be able to ensure more New Yorkers get counted.  Please see our flyer attached above for more details!

We look forward to seeing you there!
