Mobile Legal Help Center- North Amityville

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer today announced that they will be sponsoring a program in North Amityville to provide free legal services to those in need.

     Senator Fuschillo and Supervisor Schaffer have arranged to bring the Mobile Legal Help Center to Bolden Mack Park, located at 3455 Great Neck Road in North Amityville, on Tuesday, August 21st from 10 am to 3 pm. The Mobile Legal Help Center, which is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York State Office of Court Administration, brings free, civil legal services directly into communities.

     NYLAG attorneys will be available to provide free advice, legal counseling, and direct representation to local residents on matters including:

          · Medicaid

          · Medicare

          · Medicaid funded home care

          · Social security

          · Social security disability insurance

          · Food stamps & public assistance

     Individuals should bring with them any documentation related to their situation that may be useful to the NYLAG attorneys in providing assistance. No appointments are necessary. Individuals will be served on a first come, first served basis.
