Property Tax Exemptions Workshop-Roosevelt

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano will be sponsoring a Property Tax Exemption Workshop on Friday, September 27th from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Roosevelt Library (27 West Fulton Avenue, Roosevelt).
Tax exemption specialists from the Nassau County Department of Assessment will be equipped with computers linked to the county’s database, and property tax exemption applications for first-time applicants of Basic STAR, as well as Enhanced STAR, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, veterans, volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians will be processed. Tax exemption specialists will also provide assistance and answer any questions residents have about these exemptions.
Homeowners who will be filing for an exemption should bring copies of any documentation that is required for the property tax exemption, including proof of age, proof of residency and proof of income.
