Senior Scam Prevention Program-Hicksville
- Consumer Protection
Senator Elaine Phillips is sponsoring a senior scam prevention program to help senior citizens protect themselves from fraud. The program, which Senator Phillips is holding with the New York State Department of State’s Division of Consumer Protection, will take place at the Hicksville Public Library (169 Jerusalem Avenue, Hicksville) on Thursday, March 9th at 1 pm.
Staff from the Division of Consumer Protection, together with representatives from LiveOn NY, will inform residents about recent scams targeting senior citizens and teach them steps to prevent identity theft, protect their personal information, and avoid becoming a victim of fraud. Seniors will also be able to ask questions.
The free program is open to all seniors. No RSVP is required.
Seniors who would like more information about the scam prevention program on March 9th should call Senator Phillips’ office at 516-746-5924.
