Shed the Meds: Prescription Drug Take-Back

Senator Fred Akshar along with the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Southern Tier AIDS Program, Village of Owego Fire Dept. and Tioga County Council on Alcoholism & Substance Abuse will host a "Shed the Meds" prescription drug take-back event on Saturday, July 9th.

Prescription drug abuse is a gateway to heroin use.  Getting unused medication out of our cabinets is the first line of defense in keeping it out of our kids' hands.

Get rid of your old and unused prescription pills safely at this FREE and Public event from 10 am-1 pm.
