Substance Abuse Prevention Program-Port Washington

Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) and the Nassau County Police Department will be sponsoring a free program to help parents protect their children from substance abuse. The substance abuse prevention program will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 7:30 pm at the Port Washington Library (1 Library Drive, Port Washington).

Detective Pamela Stark of the Nassau County Police Department will inform parents about steps they can take to protect their children, warning signs to watch out for, and secure their own personal prescription drugs to prevent others from abusing them. The program is focused towards parents, but anyone interested in attending is welcome. Parents wishing to bring their children are also welcome to do so.
