Hispanic/Latino Book Fair Comes to Jackson Heights

More than 40 writers from throughout Latin America will do readings, give lectures and conduct writing workshops for children and teens at the Hispanic/Latino Book Fair of New York, presented by State Senator Jose Peralta and the Hispanic/Latino Cultural Center of New York, in conjunction with Council Member Daniel Dromm, from Friday, December 10 through Sunday, December 12.

The fair will be held at the Renaissance Charter School in Jackson Heights, Queens, located at 35-59 81st Street. Admission is free.

Doors will open at 6:00 pm on Friday, December 10. Gerardo Piña Rosales, president of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language, will be the featured speaker at 7:30 pm.

Saturday, December 11, the fair will run from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm; on Sunday, December 12, from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm.
