A rash of killings in Queens and Arizona grocery stores anger local residents to rally to take guns off the streets.

 (St. Albans, NY)- New York State Senator Malcolm A Smith and Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy will join community and civic leaders today to protest the rise of shootings and crime in the Queens community.

A recent killing at a local grocery store  in Queens has alarmed residents with no answers to the murder.The increase of  shootings within the last several months has caused concerns to the health and safety of the community. The state-wide anti-gun initiative Operation SNUG will be discussed by officials to get guns off the streets to reduce killings and violence.
