Public Schedule For Senate President Malcolm A. Smith For Wednesday September 9, 2009

Senator Malcolm A. Smith will be in Syracuse for a series of education related events with Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Education Secretary Arnie Duncan, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and other federal, state and local leaders.

10:30 AM: Senator Smith attends the White House Middle Class Task Force meeting with Vice President Biden, Education Secretary Arnie Duncan, and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, where the topic of discussion will be affordable and accessible higher education.

12:45 PM: Senator Smith will join with Education Secretary Duncan, Senator David J. Valesky, Syracuse Mayor Matthew J. Driscoll, Onondaga County Executive Joanne M. Mahoney, and religious leaders and other city dignitaries to discuss educational programs such as Say Yes to Education.
