Brooklyn - State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is announcing that he has joined with Coney Island Hospital to sponsor a community blood drive on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A mobile van will be outside Senator Golden’s District Office located at 7408-5th Avenue in Brooklyn and an appointment is necessary and can be made by calling Senator Golden’s office at (718) 238-6044. There are 32 appointments available for that day.

Senator Marty Golden stated, “There is such a great demand for blood in our community and in our City that reports indicate that every three seconds, someone needs blood. That is why I am proud to be welcoming the Coney Island Hospital blood mobile to the neighborhood so to give residents the opportunity to give the “Gift of Life” and donate blood to help their fellow New Yorkers in their time of need.”
