Senator Venditto's Narcan Training Program in Bellmore

This free program, in partnership with Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, Presiding Officer-Legislator Norma Gonsalves, Legislator Steve Rhoads and the Bellmore-Merrick EMS, will teach residents what to do in the event that someone overdoses on prescription drugs or Heroin.  Residents will also learn how to administer the lifesaving antidote called Narcan, which is administered through a simple nasal spray that can reverse the fatal effects of an Opioid or Heroin overdose.  Participants over the age of 18 will receive a free nasal Narcan kit.
