The program, in partnership with the New York State Department of State Division of Consumer Protection, will inform senior citizens about the dangers of scams and ways to avoid becoming a victim. Seniors will learn how to recognize and protect themselves against consumer fraud scams such as: credit and debit card scams, IRS imposter scams, funeral notification scams, grandparent scams, medical device scams, jury duty scams, mail fraud and computer phishing. No appointments are necessary.
