Senator Roxanne J. Persaud in Partnership with Author Kamla Millwood Presents, “Story Time: Peach Has Questions”

(Brooklyn, NY) --  NYS Senator Roxanne J. Persaud (D - Canarsie, East New York, Brownsville, Mill Basin, Sheepshead Bay, Bergen Beach, Marine Park, Flatlands, Mill Island, Georgetown, Ocean Hill, and Starrett City) in partnership with children’s author Kamla Millwood, will be hosting “Story Time: Peach Has Questions.”  Ms. Millwood, author of the popular children’s book series, "Peach the Duck," will read and talk to children on current events, promoting equality and social justice on Saturday, June 13th at 1:00 PM on Facebook LIVE.

I am honored to partner with Ms. Millwood hosting this online event to help children better understand current events and social topics,” said Senator Persaud; “In these hyper-political and often divisive times, Ms. Millwood uses her talents to discuss topics such as social justice and equality to school aged children.  Familiar characters, such as ‘Peach the Duck,’ help facilitate socio/political topics from a child’s perspective and will give children better understanding into current events.  Additionally,  this event will inspire a passion for community betterment among our youngest constituents while engaging in remote learning.”
