New York State Senator Thomas P. Morahan announced that the New York State Division of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with veterans service organizations, various federal, state and local agencies will be hosting a benefit seminar for veterans 55 and older.  The event will take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Ellipse Room at Rockland Community College, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

“This seminar will provide veterans , their families and care givers important information on programs and services available in New York State to which they may be entitled",  said Senator Morahan.

In many cases veterans 55+ and their families have not been in contact with the federal, state or local agencies which provide necessary assistance and benefits. They are often not up-to-date on new programs or changes to existing benefits. This seminar is intended to provide information on benefits and programs that impact New York’s veterans and their families.

To register for the April 21st seminar, please call (518) 474-6114.
