AN ACT in relation to  authorizing  the  commissioner  of  education  to
  apportion and pay aid to the Jordan Elbridge central school district

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Notwithstanding paragraph a of  subdivision  5  of  section
3604  of  the  education law or any other law, rule or regulation to the
contrary, the commissioner of education is authorized to  apportion  and
pay aid for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 school years pursuant to subdivision
7  of  section  3602 of the education law to the Jordan Elbridge central
school district  for  expenditures  for  employee  benefits  which  were
initially  reported  to  the  department in error, provided that revised
submissions are received by the department on  or  before  December  31,
2012.  Any  amount due and payable to the Jordan Elbridge central school
district as a  result  of  this  act  shall  be  paid  pursuant  to  the
provisions of paragraph c of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the educa-
tion law.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
