AN ACT to amend the public health law and the education law, in relation
  to requiring certain cafeterias to list the gluten  content  in  foods
  being served

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding  a  new  article
44-A to read as follows:
                              ARTICLE 44-A
                    NOTICE OF GLUTEN CONTENT IN FOODS
SECTION 4420. NOTICE  OF GLUTEN CONTENT IN FOODS BEING SERVED IN CAFETE-
                RIAS OWNED, OPERATED OR LEASED BY THE STATE.
  S 4420. NOTICE OF GLUTEN CONTENT IN FOODS BEING SERVED  IN  CAFETERIAS
OWNED, OPERATED OR LEASED BY THE STATE. EVERY CAFETERIA OWNED, LEASED OR
OPERATED  BY  THE  STATE  SHALL  CLEARLY AND CONSPICUOUSLY POST AND MAKE
AVAILABLE ALL INFORMATION REGARDING THE GLUTEN CONTENT  OF  FOODS  BEING
SERVED IN SUCH CAFETERIA.
  S  2.  The  education  law is amended by adding a new section 355-d to
read as follows:
  S 355-D. NOTICE OF GLUTEN CONTENT IN FOODS BEING SERVED IN  CAFETERIAS
OWNED, OPERATED OR LEASED BY THE STATE. EVERY CAFETERIA OWNED, LEASED OR
OPERATED BY THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK, SHALL CLEARLY AND CONSPIC-
UOUSLY  POST  AND  MAKE  AVAILABLE  ALL INFORMATION REGARDING THE GLUTEN
CONTENT OF FOODS BEING SERVED IN SUCH CAFETERIA.
  S 3. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
