CORWIN, CROUCH, LUPINACCI, McKEVITT, STEC -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to forfeiture of state pension for felony convictions related to abuse of office THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public officers law is amended by adding a new section 74-b to read as follows: S 74-B. FELONY CONVICTIONS OF PUBLIC OFFICERS. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, THE CONVICTION OF A PUBLIC OFFI- CER, AS DEFINED BY THIS CHAPTER, FOR ANY FELONY CRIME RELATED TO ABUSE OF HIS OR HER OFFICE SHALL INCLUDE, IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER PUNISHMENT IMPOSED PURSUANT TO THIS CHAPTER, A FORFEITURE OF HIS OR HER STATE PENSION.
