GABRYSZAK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the soil and water conservation districts law, in relation to authorizing directors of soil and water conservation districts to carry out preventative and control measures for the spread of invasive species THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 9 of the soil and water conservation districts law is amended by adding a new subdivision 16 to read as follows: (16) TO CARRY OUT PREVENTATIVE AND CONTROL MEASURES FOR THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD04344-01-3
