MAGNARELLI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to authorize a certain individual to be placed on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time police officer for the village of Solvay, county of Onondaga THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 58 of the civil service law, or any other law to the contrary, James DiFulio, who has been continuously employed by the village of Solvay, in the county of Onondaga, as a part-time patrolman, shall be eligible to be placed on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time patrolman for the village of Solvay. S 2. James DiFulio shall otherwise be subject to the merit and fitness provisions of the civil service law applicable to full-time police offi- cers. S 3. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02476-01-3

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 58 of the civil service law, or any other law to the contrary, James DiFulio, who has been continuously employed by the village of Solvay, in the county of Onondaga, as a part-time patrolman, shall be eligible to take the competitive civil service examination for the position of police officer and shall, contingent upon his score on such examination, be eligible to be placed on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time patrolman for the village of Solvay.
