LOPEZ, LUPINACCI, MAGEE, McKEVITT, McLAUGHLIN, MOSLEY, ROBINSON, ROSA, SKARTADOS, SOLAGES, SWEENEY, TITONE, WEISENBERG -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public service law, in relation to electric car charging stations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 5 of the public service law is amended by adding a new subdivision 7 to read as follows: 7. A PERSON OR CORPORATION OWNING, LEASING OR OPERATING A FACILITY THAT SUPPLIES ELECTRICITY TO THE PUBLIC FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF CHARGING PLUG-IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CHAP- TER AS AN ELECTRIC CORPORATION SOLELY BECAUSE OF SUCH OWNERSHIP, LEASE OR OPERATION.
