LAVALLE -- read twice and ordered print- ed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation IN ASSEMBLY -- Introduced by M. of A. THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT authorizing the commissioner of environmental conservation to undertake projects to protect national historic landmarks from shore erosion THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the commissioner of environmental conservation shall also be authorized to undertake any project to protect a national historic landmark, as desig- nated by the United States Secretary of the Interior, from shore erosion. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02415-01-5
