ABBATE, GOLDFEDER -- Multi-Sponsored by -- M. of A. AUBRY, CERETTO, COLTON, CUSICK, CYMBROWITZ, WEPRIN, WRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to extending the expiration of binding arbitration in the resolution of disputes in the course of collective negotiations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 4 of section 209 of the civil service law, as amended by chapter 67 of the laws of 2013, is amended to read as follows: (d) The provisions of this subdivision shall expire [thirty-nine] FORTY-TWO years from July first, nineteen hundred seventy-seven, and hereafter may be renewed every four years. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD13771-01-6
