AN ACT to amend the election  law,  in  relation  to  filing  electronic
  copies of political communications

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 14-104 of the election law is amended by  adding  a
new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
  4.  POLITICAL COMMUNICATIONS REQUIRED TO BE FILED WITH THE STATE BOARD
OF ELECTIONS PURSUANT TO SECTION 14-106 OF THIS ARTICLE  OR  SUBDIVISION
FIVE  OF SECTION 14-107 OF THIS ARTICLE MAY BE FILED ELECTRONICALLY WITH
THE STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
