 AN ACT to amend the public authorities law,  in  relation  to  including
   geothermal  energy  systems  within the meaning of the term "qualified
   energy efficiency services" for purposes of  on-bill  financing  under
   the power NY act of 2011

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraphs (m) and (n) of subdivision 12 of section 1891 of
 the public authorities law, paragraph (m) as amended and  paragraph  (n)
 as added by chapter 386 of the laws of 2013, are amended and a new para-
 graph (o) is added to read as follows:
   (m)  fuel  switching  to  convert an electrically-heated building to a
 more efficient heating source provided that significant energy cost-sav-
 ings can be  demonstrated  pursuant  to  standards  established  by  the
 authority; [and]
   (n) installation of energy technologies eligible for net energy meter-
 ing pursuant to section sixty-six-j or sixty-six-l of the public service
 law[.]; AND
   (O) PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY SYSTEMS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2018.
