BILL NUMBER: S2921 TITLE OF BILL : An act in relation to directing the division of military and naval affairs to establish policies on the security and protection of New York national guard and air national guard recruiting centers PURPOSE : This legislation would require the Division of Military and Naval Affairs to provide sidearms or to allow all New York National Guard and New York Air National Guard personnel to carry their own personal sidearm while onsite of a recruiting center. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 1 requires the division of Military and Naval Affairs to to provide sidearms or to allow all New York National Guard and New York Air National Guard personnel to carry their own personal sidearm while onsite of a recruiting center. The division of military and naval affairs shall estab- lish policies to ensure the security and protection of New York national guard and air national guard recruiting centers from terrorist attacks. 2. The division shall provide sidearms or shall allow all New York air national guard or New York national guard and air national guard person- nel employed at recruiting centers to carry their own personal sidearm while onsite of the recruiting center. § 2.
