 AN ACT authorizing the alienation of certain parklands in  the  town  of
   Islip, county of Suffolk
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subject to the provisions of this act, the town  of  Islip,
 acting by and through its town board, is hereby authorized to discontin-
 ue  as  parklands  and alienate the lands more particularly described in
 section three of this act, and to lease such parklands, for up to  forty
 years, upon such terms and conditions as determined by the town board of
 Islip.
   § 2. The authorization contained in section one of this act shall only
 be  effective on the condition that the town of Islip shall dedicate the
 lands described in section four of this act as  additional  parkland  of
 the town.
   §  3.  The  land  to  be  discontinued  as  parkland and alienated and
 conveyed is bounded and described as follows:
   All that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, with the buildings and
 improvements thereon erected, situate, lying and being in central  Islip
 in  the town of Islip and the county of Suffolk in the state of New York
 and being more particularly described as follows:
   BEGINNING AT A POINT being 5799.81  feet  southerly  from  the  corner
 formed  by  the  southerly  side  of  Smith St. and the westerly side of
 Carleton Ave.  (C.R. 17)
   RUNNING THENCE south 8 degrees 25 minutes 53 seconds east 571.55 feet
   RUNNING THENCE south 81 degrees 30 minutes 15 seconds west 993.29 feet
   RUNNING THENCE north 30 degrees 36 minutes 04 seconds west 142.06 feet
   RUNNING THENCE north 67 degrees 23 minutes 05 seconds east 145.59 feet
   RUNNING THENCE north 8 degrees 08 minutes 13 seconds west 219.30 feet
   RUNNING THENCE north 49 degrees 11 minutes 33 seconds east 178.83 feet

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subject to the provisions of this act, the town of Islip,

 AN  ACT  authorizing  the alienation of certain parklands in the town of
   Islip, county of Suffolk
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Notwithstanding  the failure of the town of Islip, in the
 county of Suffolk, to seek and receive state  legislative  authorization
 to alienate the parklands described in section four of this act prior to
 such  parkland  being  alienated,  such  alienation is hereby validated,
 legalized, ratified and confirmed.
   § 2. Subject to the provisions of this act, the town of Islip,  acting
 by  and  through  its town board, is hereby authorized to discontinue as
 parklands and alienate the lands more particularly described in  section
 four of this act.
   §  3.  The authorization, granted pursuant to section two of this act,
 shall be subject to a requirement that the town  of  Islip  dedicate  an
 amount  equal  to  or  greater  than the fair market value of the parcel
 described in section four of this act for capital improvements of exist-
 ing park and recreational facilities and/or  the  acquisition  of  addi-
 tional park and recreational facilities.
   §  4.  The  land  to  be  discontinued  as  parkland and alienated and
 conveyed, consisting  of  14.59  acres,  is  bounded  and  described  as
 follows:
   All that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, with the buildings and
 improvements  thereon erected, situate, lying and being in central Islip
