 Introduced  by Sen. PHILLIPS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
 
 AN ACT authorizing the town of North  Hempstead,  county  of  Nassau  to
   change  the  date  of  the election for district commissioners for the
   year two thousand seventeen

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section 211 of the town
 law, in the town of North Hempstead, county of Nassau, the election  for
 district  commissioners  for  the  Great  Neck  Water  Pollution Control
 District in the year two thousand seventeen shall be  held  on  Tuesday,
 December fifth.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

   printed to be committed  to  the  Committee  on  Local  Government  --
   reported  favorably  from  said committee, ordered to first and second
   report, amended on second report, ordered to a third reading,  and  to
   be  reprinted  as  amended,  retaining its place in the order of third
   reading
 
 AN ACT authorizing any special district  in  the  county  of  Nassau  to
   change the date of the election for the year two thousand seventeen
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 211 of  the  town
 law,  in  the  county  of Nassau, in the year two thousand seventeen any
 special district  may,  by  local  option,  move  the  special  district
 election from the second Tuesday in December to Tuesday, December fifth.
