 Introduced  by  Sen.  PARKER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the public authorizes law, in  relation  to  prohibiting
   the  New York state environmental facilities corporation from entering
   into contracts, leases or other agreements with entities that are  not
   compliant  with  the  requirements  of  article  five-A of the general
   municipal law regarding participation  by  minority-  and  women-owned
   businesses
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 1285 of the public authorities law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 9 to read as follows:
   9.  THE  CORPORATION  SHALL  NOT ENTER INTO CONTRACTS, LEASES OR OTHER
 AGREEMENTS WITH ENTITIES THAT ARE NOT COMPLIANT WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 ARTICLE FIVE-A OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL LAW REGARDING  PARTICIPATION  BY
 MINORITY- AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
 it shall have become a law; and shall apply to all contracts, agreements
 and leases entered into on or after such date.
