BILL NUMBER: S8538 SPONSOR: SERINO TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 348 of the laws of 2012 authorizing the conveyance of certain real property in the city of Poughkeepsie subject to section twenty of the general city law, in relation to providing legal descriptions for such real property PURPOSE: To specify the metes and bounds to certain parcels pursuant to chapter 348 of 2012. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Provides the description of Parcels B and C, which were conveyed by the city of Poughkeepsie to 1687 Properties LLC pursuant to chapter 348 of the laws of 2012. Section 2: Establishes the effective date.

SERINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend chapter 348 of the laws of 2012 authorizing the convey- ance of certain real property in the city of Poughkeepsie subject to section twenty of the general city law, in relation to providing legal descriptions for such real property THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Sections 1 and 3 of chapter 348 of the laws of 2012 author- izing the conveyance of certain real property in the city of Poughkeep- sie subject to section twenty of the general city law are amended to read as follows: Section 1. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provisions of section 20 of the general city law, [and in anticipation of a chapter amendment to include metes and bounds for Parcels B and C,] the city of Poughkeepsie is hereby authorized to convey to 1687 Properties, LLC, owned by the not-for-profit organization The Dyson Foundation, at fair market value, all its rights, title and interest in the real property and improvements thereon described as Parcel A, Parcel B and Parcel C in section three of this act. Provided, however, that Parcel A shall be used solely for non-commercial recreational purposes for the general public subject to existing easements and rights of ways as of the effective date of this act. § 3. The property authorized by section one of this act to be conveyed is generally described as a parcel of real property with improvements thereon, consisting of approximately 2.717 acres, located at 83 North Water Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, County of Dutchess, and is bounded by the Hudson River on the west, the Fallkill Creek on the South, North Water Street on the East and the property line of Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp. on the North, and being more particularly described as follows: Parcel A SCHEDULE A DESCRIPTION EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
