BILL NUMBER: S974 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the public authorities law, in relation to financing and construction of capital facilities for Dancewave, Inc. PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL : To clarify the provisions of Chapter 406 of the Laws of 2016. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS : The bill amends Chapter 406 of the Laws of 2016 by clarifying that Dancewave, Inc. is the name of the entity eligible for financing. MONTGOMERY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to financing and construction of capital facilities for Dancewave, Inc. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The undesignated paragraph of paragraph (b) of subdivision 2 of section 1676 of the public authorities law, as added by a chapter of the laws of 2016, amending the public authorities law relating to providing for the financing and construction of capital facilities for a certain not-for-profit corporation as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 6023 and A. 7770, is amended to read as follows: Dancewave [of Brooklyn, New York], INC., for the financing, acquisi- tion, construction, development, improvement, expansion and/or equipping of a facility or facilities and necessary ancillary and related facili- ties. § 2. The undesignated paragraph of subdivision 1 of section 1680 of the public authorities law, as added by a chapter of the laws of 2016, amending the public authorities law relating to providing for the financing and construction of capital facilities for a certain not-for- profit corporation as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 6023 and A. 7770, is amended to read as follows: Dancewave [of Brooklyn, New York], INC., for the financing, acquisi- tion, construction, development, improvement, expansion and/or equipping of a facility or facilities and necessary ancillary and related facili- ties. § 3. This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a chapter of the laws of 2016, amending the public authorities law relating to providing for the financing and construction of capital facilities for a certain not-for-profit corporation as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 6023 and A. 7770, takes effect. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
